“Freshness is essential. That makes all the difference.”

- Julia Child -

What is a Mutton Pepper?

Scientific term: Capsicum Chinense, a relative to the habanero.

Mutton peppers are a type of chile native to the Bay Islands of Honduras. Maybe you’ve never heard of it before, but if you grew up there, you know that it is a staple in island cuisine.

Mutton peppers are not only hot, but they are delicious and flavorful.

Their unique taste is unlike any other hot pepper.

Utila Cays

The Utila Cays (sometimes written Cayes, but pronounced “Keys”) are a collection of tiny islets located off the southwest corner of the main island of Utila. The Cays include: WATER CAY / CAYE. This is THE ideal tropical beach paradise, surrounded by piercingly blue water, an extensive sand bar and coral reef.

Perhaps most famously, Utila is known as the Whale Shark Capitol of the Caribbean. It is one of the only places on the planet where they are documented in every month of the year.
